Q. Can we hire some items to save us from bringing it with us?

Yes we have travel cots, highchairs, towels and bedding available to hire, the items can be added as part of the checkout process, if you have already booked please contact us and we can add it for you.

Q. Does Filey have a pet friendly beach?

Yes parts of the beach are pet friendly all year, some parts have restrictions at certain times of the year please see the map for the pet friendly section by clicking here. The beaches in front of the holiday parks are pet friendly and can be used all year around.

Q. Can we make a part payment?

Yes you can pay how often you like, we ask if you send a quick text or email to let us know and as long as all the payments are made at least 28 days before your holiday.

Q. What do we do if we cause any damage to the accommodation?

Please let us know as soon as you are aware of the damage.

Q. Do we need to bring any form of identification?

It is a good idea for the lead guest to bring some form of identification just in case it’s needed.

Q. What is included in my accommodation?

All holiday homes are self catering, so they will have all the pots, pans, cutlery, cups etc… that you will need for your stay. All caravans have sufficient duvets and pillows available for you to use, we can add bedding to your booking if required. We include bedding and towels in our bookings at The Bay.

Q. Will my accommodation have WiFi?

All our current properties at The Bay include free WIFI, all the caravan parks have WIFI zones and some have WIFI available in the caravan (charges usually apply) We do not guarantee WIFI at any of our properties and the WIFI is provided for leisure purposes only. We are not responsible if the WIFI isn’t available at any point during your stay.

Q. What is the Minimum number of nights?

Our minimum number of nights for all holiday homes is 3 nights.

Q. What check in days do you have?

For the caravan bookings the check in days are usually Monday and Friday and at The Bay you can begin your holiday on any day of the week.

Q. Where can we find details about the onsite facilities?

For caravan bookings you can look on www.haven.com for Reighton Sands, Primrose Valley or Thornwick Bay, for Cayton Bay its www.parkdeanresorts.co.uk and The Bay is www.thebayfiley.com.

Q. Who do we contact if we have a problem whilst on holiday?

You can contact us at any time during your stay and we will be happy help you.

Q. How do we get the keys for the holiday home?

We use a key safe at the property to give you the keys, we text you the number to open it the evening before your holiday.

Q. Where is the nearest hospital?

Both Scarborough and Bridlington have hospitals. The nearest A&E is at Scarborough hospital.

Q. Are bedding and towels included?

For the caravan holidays we don’t include bedding or towels in any bookings, you can add bedding and towels onto your booking or there’s duvets and pillows available to bring your own. At The Bay all bookings include bedding and towels.

Q. Are dogs allowed on the beach?

Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington are dog friendly towns, certain parts of the beach have restrictions at certain times of the year; please visit www.thebeachguide.co.uk for more information.

Q. How far is the nearest supermarket?

Tesco in Filey is the nearest to Reighton Sands, The Bay and Primrose Valley. Thornwick Bay’s nearest is Tesco in Bridlington and for Cayton Bay its Tesco in Scarborough.

Q. is there a shop onsite?

Yes, the Haven and Parkdean sites all have an onsite shop. At The Bay the pharmacy has a few essentials.

Q. What are Funworks passes?

The Funworks pass allows access to some facilities on the Haven parks; they are available from the reception when you arrive (please enquire for current prices). Bookings at The Bay usually include a pass to allow your group access to the leisure centre.

Q. What time can we check in and what time do we need to leave the accommodation by?

Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am, if you arrive early you can use the facilities providing you have a valid Funworks pass. Bookings at The Bay can arrive from 3pm.

Q. Is the booking deposit refundable?

No unfortunately the deposit is not refundable.

Q. How much is the bond and do we have to pay it?

The bond varies on the property booked (please enquire for more information), we require a bond for all bookings which is fully refunded within 7 days providing the holiday home is left as you find it.

Q. How much do we need to pay to book?

For all bookings more than 28 days away we need a £50 deposit to book, the balance and bond is then due 28 days before you go. For bookings less than 28 days away we require the full payment and bond at the time of booking.

Q. Can we book more than 1 holiday home?

Yes we welcome block bookings.

Q. Are pets allowed?

We have a selection of caravans at all our sites that will accept pets, most of the properties at The Bay are pet friendly.

Q. Will a travel cot fit in the bedroom?

We do have caravans available that will fit a cot in the main bedroom (contact us for details), otherwise a single bed can be stacked in the twin rooms to fit one in. Properties at The Bay usually have enough room for one in the main bedroom.
